If you are familiar with my art, you would know that Angus Young was going to make an appearance sooner than later. I may however, have attempted the impossible with this piece. I set out to try and capture the unique feeling of witnessing AC/DC live. When these guys hit the stage with their amps cranked to eleven, the combination of raw power and over the top theatrics envelope all your senses and creates a feeling of energy that is rarely seen with most contemporary bands. There were many possible iconic poses I could have chosen for this piece - Angus' schoolboy uniform coupled with unique trademark playing style leaves an artist with plenty of inspiration to draw from. I finally settled on the signature "Devil Horn Salute" not only because it is my favorite, but also because it plays into AC/DC's iconic closing live number in which they send tens of thousands of fans screaming in to the night, ears ringing from the cannons blasting "For Those About To Rock".
