Doing what was once thought impossible – Metallica bridged the gap between Heavy Metal/Thrash and mainstream music and in doing so, set precedence in rock album sales. Having been a lifetime fan, Metallica has been a subject that I have visited often, however it was the 2013 release of their IMAX tour movie (with Metallica styling and story twists of course) titled “Through The Never” that I knew I had to revisit them once again. I could have gone in several directions with this piece but ultimately decided to try and capture a feeling of a live show. Having been lucky enough to witness this legendary band live numerous times I wanted to pay homage to the extraordinary visuals and images they use to assault your eyes while your ears are being brutalized by their wall of sound.
