Those familiar with my work won't be surprised by another Stones piece. It recently occurred to me however, that although I have often painted these two, I have not ever captured them together on the same canvas. This piece was also a little different for me, for the fact that my primary concern was not the realism of the subjects, but more so the composition and feel of the piece as a whole. I wanted the this piece to induce the feeling of the most decadent era in Rock N' Roll, where the "Peace and Love" of the sixties started to crash headfirst into a rapidly changing landscape where Metal and Punk were starting to emerge.
