Axl Rose’s wide vocal range and energetic performances have cemented this enigmatic rock star’s place among one of the greatest front men of all time. His shrilling rock n roll screams helped propel Guns N’ roses debut album Appetite For Destruction to the dubious honor of being the best selling debut album of all time (U.S) and was on heavy rotation in my house throughout the late eighties. Axl is almost as famous for his unique persona and off stage antics as he is for his legendary live performances. The reclusive rock star has always seemed to go against the grain and do things his own way and on his own timeline (anyone who has attended a GN’R concert can attest to that statement). He, along with the rest of the band were inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 – and in true bad ass fashion, Axl declined to show for the ceremony…..maybe he was just late?
