What can you say about Slash? Very few people can say their image embodies a feeling of an entire musical era. To me, Slash will always be the ultimate rebel in a rebellious time. Refusing to don the glamorous attire and make up that was prominent during the "Hair metal" days; Slash has stayed true to his image and look of complete abandon. The feeling that one gets when they see the jet-black curly mane exploding from his iconic top hat is the feeling that I hope to emulate with my paintings. I often refer to the words "gritty or raw" when describing my work, and as far as I'm concerned there is no one making music today who is more raw and gritty than the legendary Saul "Slash" Hudson.
