I wanted to paint a martini glass in this, but didn’t want to paint a martini glass, so I painted the light coming from the lamp-post in the shape of a martini glass. This is a seedy side of town and a young woman is drinking her martini because the crosswalk sign says “Drink.” ~M.G.
